Admitted Students

If you have accepted an offer of admission to Texas Tech, congratulations! You have been admitted to a rigorous academic program. We believe in you; for that reason, we are committed to helping you be a success.

Currently, you have two important next steps:

  • Register for Red Raider Orientation (RRO). You’ll receive an email from our Student Life team explaining when and where the group orientation will take place.
  • Arrange any pre-enrollment exams you are required to take.

Welcome to the #RedRaiderCR family!

Hey Red Raider! Red Raider Orientation (RRO) is the opportunity for new students
to find out what it’s like being a Texas Tech student. You’ll want to pay attention,
because studying at a U.S. university will require your best efforts.

RRO is also fun! And you’ll get to know classmates who are entering the university at the same time as you.

During RRO, you will:

  • meet other new students, faculty, and staff members
  • get advice from current students
  • meet with your advisor
  • register for classes
  • become familiar with Texas Tech traditions, and
  • have fun!

Your RRO will take place over two days in either January and August, just before the start of the Spring or Fall semester. All new students are required to attend RRO.
